Overview

What is the Temi?

Temi is a compact, fully autonomous personal assistant robot built around a tilting touchscreen, far-field voice interaction, and a 360-degree LIDAR navigation system. It maps a space, remembers named locations, avoids obstacles, and can follow a person hands-free — making it a natural fit for reception desks, telehealth carts, classrooms, and customer-facing environments where a mobile screen-on-wheels needs to move itself to the right place at the right time.

As a reseller and integrator, RobotLAB sells Temi outright at $3,999 or through its Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) program starting at $83/month, so organizations can pilot a unit without a large up-front capital commitment. Every Temi ships with a docking station, charging cord, quick-start guide, and a one-year warranty, and RobotLAB layers on deployment support, fleet management, training, and U.S.-based service on top of the manufacturer hardware.

Temi's strength is presence and mobility rather than payload: a 13.3-inch HD touchscreen, a 20-watt speaker array, four beamforming microphones, and front-facing cameras turn it into a roaming video-call station and digital concierge. With an open SDK and Android-based interaction layer, it also supports custom apps, smart-home control, and block-based or Python STEM coding for education buyers. How it works

Temi in detail

Reception & wayfinding

Stationed in a lobby or showroom, Temi greets visitors, answers questions on its touchscreen, and physically leads guests to a meeting room, office, or exhibit using its saved-location navigation. The 13.3-inch screen doubles as digital signage for promotions, maps, and contact forms when no one is actively interacting with it.

Telepresence & remote work

Temi turns a video call into a mobile presence. A remote doctor, manager, or instructor can drive the robot around a facility, hold face-to-face conversations through the HD screen and 20W speaker, and move between rooms without anyone on-site needing to carry a device.

Assisted living & telehealth

In senior living and care settings, Temi supports companionship, video check-ins with family, medication and appointment reminders, and remote clinician consultations. Its follow-me mode and autonomous docking let residents and staff use it hands-free without managing charging.

STEM education & training

For schools and universities, Temi's open SDK and Android base support block-based coding and Python programming, so students can build and test their own robot apps. The same programmability lets businesses customize Temi for surveys, kiosks, and guided tours.

Questions & answers

About the Temi.

  1. How much does Temi cost?

RobotLAB sells Temi for $3,999 as an outright purchase, or through its Robot-as-a-Service program starting at $83/month. RaaS bundles the hardware with support so you can deploy without a large up-front cost. Note that prices do not include tariffs. Call 1-87-RobotLAB for current pricing and financing options.

  2. What is Temi best used for?

Temi shines as a roaming video and reception device: greeting and guiding visitors, hosting mobile video calls (telepresence), supporting telehealth and assisted-living check-ins, and teaching STEM coding. It moves a touchscreen autonomously to where it's needed rather than carrying physical payloads.

  3. How does Temi navigate, and is it safe around people?

Temi uses 360-degree LIDAR plus depth and Time-of-Flight sensors with its ROBOX/SLAM navigation system to map a space, remember named locations, and avoid obstacles in real time at speeds up to 1 m/s. It can also follow a person hands-free. RobotLAB can help configure maps and patrol points during deployment — call 1-87-RobotLAB.

  4. How long does the battery last and does it charge itself?

Temi runs up to 8 hours on a charge and recharges in about 3 hours. When the battery runs low it autonomously returns to its docking station, so staff don't have to manage charging manually.

  5. Can Temi be customized or programmed for our use case?

Yes. Temi runs an Android-based interaction layer with an open SDK, so RobotLAB or your team can build custom apps, kiosk flows, smart-home integrations, or educational coding projects in block-based code or Python. Contact RobotLAB at 1-87-RobotLAB to discuss custom development and integration.

  6. Does RobotLAB provide support, training, and warranty?

Every Temi from RobotLAB includes a one-year warranty plus the docking station and accessories, and as the integrator RobotLAB adds deployment help, training, and U.S.-based service and fleet management. Reach the team at 1-87-RobotLAB for onboarding and ongoing support.
