What is the Unitree R1 Humanoid Robot?

The Unitree R1 is the lightweight end of the humanoid line — 1.23 m tall and about 29 kg — with 26 degrees of freedom and an 8-core onboard computer. It is the most affordable way into a walking humanoid platform.

R1 configurations differ by compute module and by end effector, from the bare Air unit up to EDU Pro builds with force-controlled hands.
