B2B operator, not technician
Most of our franchisees come from sales, B2B services, hospitality operations, or other franchise systems. No robotics background required — we train that.
$200k–$450k estimated
Initial investment depends on territory size, office setup, and demo fleet. Liquid capital $200k minimum; net worth $500k+. SBA-eligible financing partners pre-vetted.
Full-time owner-operator
First 12 months are full-time, owner-operated. After ramp, semi-absentee and multi-unit models open. 10-year initial term, two 5-year renewals.

About available RobotLAB territories.
The 10 questions prospective franchisees ask most about open metros. Always open — no dropdowns. Same-day FDD delivery via the FDD form.
-
How many territories are available, and how big are they?
80+ open metros across the United States, with 20+ already active. Each protected territory averages 1.5–3M people, mapped by metro zip codes and industrial corridors. Featured open: Phoenix, AZ (4.9M), Seattle, WA (4.0M), Boston, MA (4.9M), plus Nashville, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and more.
-
Why are these metros open for franchise development?
RobotLAB is capping the new owner class at 30 a year — we're rolling out methodically rather than blanketing the country. Most open metros simply haven't been claimed yet. A handful have one prospect already in active LOI discussion (Seattle, Charlotte, NYC Brooklyn/Queens, Minneapolis, Columbus, Orlando, San Diego), and the first verified inquiry with capital tends to lock them. See the live map.
-
What's the protected territory boundary?
Multi-county, mapped by metro zip codes — not square footage. No other RobotLAB franchise can sell or service in your zone. Example: Phoenix = Maricopa + Pinal County; Seattle = King + Snohomish + Pierce; Boston = Suffolk + Middlesex + Norfolk + Essex. Multi-territory rights are available for qualified operators.
-
What's the investment range?
$200k–$450k estimated (FDD Item 7), depending on territory size, office setup, and demo fleet. Larger metros like Phoenix ($280k–$450k), Seattle ($320k–$450k), and Boston ($340k–$450k) trend toward the top of the range. Minimum $200k liquid, $500k+ net worth, 5% royalty. SBA-eligible financing partners pre-vetted. See /financing.
-
Who's the ideal franchisee?
A B2B operator, not a technician — sales, B2B services, hospitality operations, or other franchise systems. No robotics background required. The strongest applicants already know the metro's hospitality, healthcare, and corporate decision-makers, which accelerates the first 20 deployments. Multi-territory and semi-absentee structures open after the first 12 months.
-
How fast can a new franchise launch?
After you sign and complete onboarding, RobotLAB helps you launch operations in your territory. The process moves through a discovery call, FDD review and validation calls, a Discovery Day in Dallas, signing and financing, hands-on training, and grand opening. The full onboarding steps and timeline are detailed in the FDD.
-
What does HQ provide at launch?
A complete launch package: hands-on training in Dallas, 25+ certified brands ready to sell (Pudu, Bear, Gausium, LG, SoftBank, UBTech, Cyngn), a demo fleet, the RobotLAB software stack, national lead generation routed by zip code, national trade-show presence, parts fulfillment from the Dallas depot, and technical service support. Program overview.
-
What's the revenue potential?
RobotLAB makes no financial performance representation on this website. Any financial performance information is disclosed solely in Item 19 of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Request the FDD using the form on this page — we send it the same business day — to review it in full.
-
Can I do this as a semi-absentee or multi-unit owner?
Not in year one — the first 12 months are full-time owner-operator building the pipeline, running the first deployments, and learning the service motion firsthand. After ramp, semi-absentee and multi-unit models open up, and many existing owners now run their territories manager-led. Multi-territory rights are available for qualified operators.
-
How do I request the FDD?
Use the form at the top or bottom of this page — name, target territory (or 2–3 options), and available capital. FDD emailed same business day, with a 30-minute discovery call scheduled within 7 days. No obligation, no high-pressure sales. We're as picky as you should be. Or call 1-87-RobotLAB / email franchise@robotlab.com.
